Duties and Responsibilities of the Welfare Affairs Standing Committee

  • Monitor the progress of implementation of social welfare programmes and take necessary interventions.
  • Consider complaints and suggestions received from the public regarding welfare services and take appropriate steps for their resolution.
  • Coordinate welfare activities in cooperation with various Government departments, welfare agencies, and voluntary organisations.
  • Provide leadership for activities aimed at ensuring social justice, equality, and public participation.
  • Evaluate the progress of welfare activities of the Panchayat and submit necessary reports and recommendations to the Panchayat Committee.
